Join David Glasgow, executive director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at NYU School of Law and co-author of the book How Equality Wins: A New Vision for an Inclusive America, for a conversation about how to advance inclusion and equal opportunity even in this turbulent moment.
In a moderated fireside chat format, David will explore the overall legal environment for equity work—including relevant court decisions, executive orders, and other legal developments his center is monitoring—and give practical guidance on how to identify risk in diversity programs, how to mitigate risk, and how to strengthen the work of equity in the new legal landscape.

David Glasgow is the founding executive director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law, and coauthor of two books: Say the Right Thing: How to Talk about Identity, Diversity, and Justice, and How Equality Wins: A New Vision for an Inclusive America (Simon & Schuster, 2026).
A nationally recognized expert on the law of diversity, equity, and inclusion, David has written for a range of publications including the American Journal of Law and Equality, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, TIME, Bloomberg, and the Harvard Business Review. He was the lead author on Black Theatre United’s “New Deal for Broadway,” a historic agreement to transform the commercial theatre industry.
An attorney in New York and Australia, David has a BA in philosophy and an LLB from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from NYU School of Law.
